Quavo & Takeoff Finally Address The Future Of Migos
Quavo and Takeoff have finally addressed the future of the Migos since breakup rumors began to spread over the past couple of months. The rumors began to run rampant after the two began making songs under the monikers Unc & Phew and Offset began his solo career.
“I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo, you know what I’m saying, because, you know, we just came from a loyal family,” Quavo shared per Hypebeast. The rapper added that they’re “supposed to stick together and sometimes when s— don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.”
Later in the interview Takeoff interjected, stating that they will always be family despite not knowing what the future brings for the group.
“We don’t know all answers. God know. So we pray a lot,” he shared. “And we tell Him, whatever — whatever ain’t right, however you supposed to see it fit, you put it back together or however you do it. Only time will tell. We always family now, ain’t nothing gonna change.”
Quavo and Takeoff have previously released “Hotel Lobby,” and “Us vs. Them” featuring Gucci Mane. They were also featured on DJ Khaled’s “Party.”
As for Offset, he has dropped “54321,” and “Code” featuring Moneybagg Yo. The rapper has had some issues regarding launching his solo career with his label Quality Control.
Offset called out the Quality Control CEO Pierre “P” Thomas back in August, “N—– act like Im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back,” Offset Niggas act like im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back Nigga you black balled me I ain’t said Shìt one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit? https://t.co/UGRDykvX5C
Thomas seemingly responded by tweeting back at Offset referring to Migos’ previous lawsuit that was dismissed back in 2021. “Been to real for all this lame s—,” P wrote in a since-deleted tweet per Vulture. “Everyone know the real problem.”
Offset will drop his sophomore studio record on November 11 meanwhile, Quavo and Takeoff are gearing up for their first album drop as a duo titled Only Built For Infinity Links. The LP is set to arrive on Oct. 7.
