Florida Plastic Surgeon Arrested For Murder
Largo Police Department arrested Dr. Tomasz Roman Kosowski on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the disappearance of Steven Cozzi, an attorney missing since last month from his Largo law firm. The Largo Police Department received a call about a missing person.
During the investigation, officers learned that Cozzi had left his office without his wallet, car keys, or cell phone. Cozzi was in the middle of responding to an email, and music was playing on his phone when he left for the bathroom. Police were called after Cozzi’s boss noticed he had been gone for awhile and went to check on him in the public bathroom of the office building. While inside, he saw blood smeared in the bathroom and on, the stall wall and the bottom of the toilet.
According to
IONTB, officers identified Kosowski as their suspect after several weeks of investigation and surveillance revealed evidence linking him to Cozzi’s disappearance. During the investigation, large amounts of blood at the crime scene, at Kosowski’s home and vehicle, along with the fact that the subject removed a container large enough to conceal a human body and the victim was never seen exiting the business on surveillance, it is believed that the victim is deceased and Kosowski intentionally, by a premeditated design caused his death.
Tomasz Roman Kosowski has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. The body of Steven Cozzi has NOT been located at this time.
The 5 Most Dangerous Cities In Florida
We know how ominous “The most dangerous cities in Florida” sounds, but we think it’s important to know. The good news is out of a list of 100 dangerous cities in the U.S., only 5 in Florida made the list. Of those 5 cities, none of them cracked the top 50 in this updated study. A lot of people probably assume big metros like Miami, Tampa and Orlando made the list, but nope!
We got this information from Neighborhood Scout. Their analysis includes crimes reported by all agencies. They studied cities with 25,000 or more people, based on the number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents. Data used for this research are:
- The number of violent crimes reported to the FBI to have occurred in each city.
- Projections of violent crime rates based on prior years’ data.
- The population of each city.
Florida is known for some of the country’s most bizarre crimes. And while all of them may be dangerous, they may not qualify as “violent.” Driving a golf cart naked down I75, assault with food, and similar “Florida Man” crimes don’t fall into the FBI category.
