The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. We celebrate our country’s independence while drinking some cold beers, grilling up some hamburgers & hotdogs, and of course…. fireworks!! This weekend it doesn’t mater what side of the bridge you live on, there’s events that include parades, performances, and fireworks all over the Tampa Bay area. Here’s a list of 5 places around the Tampa Bay area you can check out fireworks and other events surrounding the holiday.

  • Tampa

    Boom by the Bay!

    Tampa’s premier Independence Day celebration is back on July 1. Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. and the fireworks are scheduled to start around 9:15 p.m.

    Star Spangled Sparkman

    Sparkman Wharf’s family-friendly celebration is on July 4, and will include live entertainment, a game zone, plenty of entertainment, and specials on drinks and food. It’s a free event that starts at 4 p.m. with fireworks blasting off at 9 p.m.

     

  • St. Petersburg

    St. Pete Pier

    The 3rd annual “The Fourth” Independence Day Celebration at St. Pete Pier will run from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with lots of family fun activities, a craft beer garden, local food trucks, live music, and the fireworks show at 9 p.m. at Downtown St. Pete Waterfront.

     

  • Clearwater

    Clearwater Celebrates America

    Clearwater will kick off its Fourth of July holiday with a classic car show and then has “the largest fireworks display in Clearwater’s history,” starting at 9:30 p.m. at Coachman Park

    Clearwater Threshers

    The Clearwater Threshers will celebrate Independence Day with an amazing fireworks show after their games on July 4th and 8th.

  • Treasure Island

    Treasure Island Beach

    Fireworks will be shot from the beach near Gulf Front Park, on Tuesday, July 4 starting at 9 p.m. Don’t forget your beach chair or towel.

     

  • Dunedin

    Dunedin Hometown USA

    Celebrate America on Monday, July 3 at TD Ballpark. Gates will open at 7 p.m. with the movie, “Field of Dreams,” playing on the big screen at 7:15 p.m. After that the fireworks show will begin around 9:15 p.m.
