Dunedin Offers Flyboard Flight School
If you have ever wondered what’s it like to fly/ride a Flyboard, well you now can at Dunedin’s Flyboard Surf Club. What is flyboarding and how do they work? The “rider” is strapped on to the flyboard, which has two downward pointing nozzles that launch high pressure water propelling the rider into the air! The rider can then control the direction of the flyboard by tilting their feet back and forth.
It usually only takes first-timers about 15-20 minutes to be able to maintain controlled flight. People who have experience in other balance related sports such as skateboarding and snowboarding tend to excel at flyboarding in just minutes.
If you’re worried about safety, the riders are always supervised by an experienced instructor. If you do wipeout you’re always above water, which makes for easy wipe-outs.
The video below gives to a glimpse at what’s it like to go Flyboarding.

5 Tampa Bay Hotels Where It's Worth Getting A Day Pass
Updated 3/1/2024
Summer is right around the corner and it’s a great time to consider to cool off. Take the kids along if you want, and have fun without a ton of planning or expense. One great idea is to invest (not a lot) in a day pass or pool pass at one or more of our great Tampa Bay area hotels and resorts. For nominal fees, you’ll be able to enjoy all the amenities at a fraction of the cost of renting a room for the night.
Depending on the hotel you pick, you’ll be able to enjoy the pool, the beach, lounge chairs, and cabanas. In Tampa, where there is no beach but a lot to see and do, there are still plenty of upscale hotels that offer day passes for their pools, and the ability to enjoy all that downtown and Channelside have to offer. It comes down to whether you want to spend $200-$300 or more for one night, or as little as about $20 for a day, and then go home and sleep in your own bed! There’s another advantage, too: you won’t have to pay anyone to take care of the pets! For more ideas from Resortpass, click here.
The best perk of getting a pass to a Tampa Bay hotel pool vs the beach is no sand! Any Floridian knows that after a beach day, your car will have sand trapped in there for months. Plus, you’re also able to take advantage of getting a fancy lunch at either these hotel’s restaurants or a nearby spot. You’ll have tons of options if you choose a downtown hotel. But in this case, you may want to bring a change of clothes. Either way, you don’t want to forget your sunscreen.
