Man Arrested After Shooting Priest Who Slept With His Wife
Priest Nikolaos Kakavelakis was shot twice with a shotgun outside his church on October 31st. He spoke to police after coming out of a coma last week. This shooting came right after three people were killed in a knife attack at a church in the French city of Nice. It was initially feared to be a copycat of what French President Emmanuel Macron called an “Islamist terrorist attack” The motive for the shooting in Lyon was not clear at first, and officials did indeed think it was a terrorist attack. The suspect ended up telling the cops what it was really about and he said he shot him he slept with his wife.
