Pedophile Avoids Jail By Saying She Raped Teen Due To “Personal Trauma”
A 30 year old former teacher has now avoided jail by saying she raped A teen due to her “personal trauma.” In September Madeleine Schmaltz plead guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct after having sex with her 16-year-old student. Instead of a jail sentence she was only sentenced to probation after telling the court that “personal trauma” impacted her judgement. She must also register as a predatory offender and must not contact her victim or any other minors to avoid time in prison.
Personal opinion: I don’t know about you but this makes me upset. I feel like there is a double standard when it comes to female sexual assault victims and male sexual assault victims. We tend to not take the male’s as serious. If this would have been a male teacher/ female student, it would have been a different outcome. She deservers jail time.
