Super Bowl Streaker Confirms He Made Money Off of Stunt
I got a chance to talk with Super Bowl LV streaker Yuri Andrade to talk about how much money he made and what it was like meeting Mike Evans. The rumor is that he made over $300K for streaking across the field. During our conversation, Yuri confirms the rumor among other things.
Listen to the interview below:
Yuri saw Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans at a Tampa club on Monday night and wanted to take a picture with him. According to Yuri, Mike Evans said that the stunt was “epic” and that the team was “dying laughing.”
He said his friend who has a prank website has been trying to pull off a stunt like this for a while, so Yuri came up with a plan “to do two people, one to run as a distraction so all the security rushes him so I can clear the field.”
Then his friend wondered if there was a prop bet, and there was. It was plus 750 for a fan to run on to the field. After some work to get enough money they placed the bet and the stunt was on.
Yuri ended up paying to bail himself and his friend out of jail which set them back $1K, and paid for two Super Bowl tickets. They ended up winning $370K, so they made their money back and then some.
So what did Yuri’s mom think about this? She initially got mad, but after she got tons of calls from reporters that she was proud of him.
They are also working on a documentary form the inception of the idea to what happened afterwards.
