Several Tampa Bars Had Their Liquor License Suspended For Violating Covid-19 Guidelines
Channel 8 reports that this morning the city council voted this morning to suspend the liquor licenses for four Tampa bars. They all had operating violations with COVID-19 mandatory safety measures in place. The owners went before the council this morning to plead their cases. The maximum penalty would have been 30 days. They settled for suspensions ranging from 3 days to a week. The bars impacted are King Corona Cigars, Club Skye and MacDinton’s Irish Pub, and Club Prana in Ybor. Channel 8 says the bars were given warnings before the suspensions came down. The city council says there were ongoing face mask and social distancing problems, but still chose not to enforce the maximum penalty. [Source: Channel 8]
