Spirit Airline Flight From Tampa Catches Fire
According to Fox 5 Atlanta , A Spirit Airline flight from Tampa to Atlanta caught fire during the landing process. We are happy to report that no passengers were injured. In the video that has been shared on social media you can see fire flames and smoke coming from under the flight after it landed at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Spirit Airlines has released a statement as to what happened and they say a brake overheated as the plane was landing which caused a small fire. First responders got there very fast and were able to put out the flames.
A passenger who was on the plane named Scottie Nelms says that everything was fine until the plane began landing. He said quote, “Once we landed it made a weird noise from the left side of the plane. Nobody knew what it was until we stopped completely in the middle of the landing strip, We saw a flame coming from the engine and people and myself started freaking out.” This is very scary for me because I fly to Atlanta a lot to visit my mom. I also often fly Sprit because flights are super cheap going from TPA To ATL. Here’s the thing though, this type of thing could have happened on any airline.
