Billionaire says he’s leaving Washington and moving to Florida! Can you guess who that billionaire is? If you guessed Jeff Bezos, you would be right. He says he is leaving Seattle and moving to Miami. Miami is about 4 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg.
On Thursday the founder of Amazon told us he was moving after 30 years of living in Seattle. He wants to move closer to his parents and his company, Blue Origin. Blue Origin operates in Cape Canaveral. Bezos lived in Seattle longer than he’s lived any other place. He is saying this move is very emotional for him.
Bezos made the announcement via Instagram with the caption:
“Seattle has been my home since 1994 when I started Amazon out of my garage. That’s my dad behind the camera in this video, touring Amazon’s first “office.” My parents have always been my biggest supporters. They recently moved back to Miami, the place we lived when I was younger (Miami Palmetto High class of ’82 — GO Panthers!) I want to be close to my parents, and Lauren and I love Miami. Also, Blue Origin’s operations are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral. For all that, I’m planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest.”
Where will Bezos live in Miami?
Bezos has already purchased a waterfront mansion here in Florida. Reports tell us he paid $68M for the estate in Indian Creek. He then purchased the neighboring home in October which he paid $79M for. I would love to have this type of money!
Florida is a great place to reside! Seattle is very beautiful but it was gloomy and rained everyday when I went to visit. I love that Bezos is also moving here to be closer to his parents. I wish I could be closer to my parents! Welcome to Florida Jeff!
Ever wondered who had the most money in Florida? If so you have come to the right article. “Here is the wealthiest person in Florida.” I won’t tell you just yet, but you will find out below.
Yes, we have a lot of famous people who live in Florida, but this wealthy individual is not an athlete or entertainer. I have actually never heard of him until today. Each and every year Forbes releases a list of the 400 wealthiest people in the United States.
Who Is The Wealthiest Person In The United States?
He is a very controversial person but Elon Musk is the wealthiest person in the United States. He has a net worth of $251B. I am actually no longer on Twitter because of him. I’m sorry it’s now called X. I will give him his props however, he has done well for himself. It’s almost impossible for him to go broke.
He has created generational wealth and that should be the goal for everyone. Musk has 11 kids and those kids will never have to want for anything.
How did the people who made this list make their money?
This list includes people who have earned their wealth through software, investments, retail, sports, family ties and food. To make the list, billionaires had to make at least $2.9 billion!
There are a lot of familiar names on this list. Especially the heirs! For instance, the grandson who founded Walmart has made this list. The son of the founder of Chick-fil-A has made this list as well. They so far seem to be making their family proud and keeping the family business alive.
