Fox News 13 tells us that two men have been accused of dumping a woman’s body into an alley after she overdosed in a hotel room. Police were called after someone reported a dead body in the alley off of 34th street in St. Petersburg on Monday.
When detectives arrived they found the body of Jillian Tully and she as wrapped in a sheet. The victims body also had a card board box over it. According to the police report, it was obvious that she had died somewhere else. According to the sheriff, the case was initially investigated as a homicide because of where the body was found.
Florida Woman Died From a Drug Overdosed
This incident was investigated as a homicide until further investigation. It was soon determined that the woman died from a Fentanyl drug overdose. Detectives traced Tully’s whereabouts back to the Gateway motel in St. Petersburg.
Tully was invited by a man working at the motel to come “party” in one of the rooms. The man, John Yeckley claims they did drugs but when he woke up Tully was dead. Instead of calling the police, Yeckley got scared and wanted to hide her body. He recruited Michael Sloan to help him hide the body and they can be seen on video taking it out of the room. Video also shows them dumping it in an alley.

Yeckley and Sloan have been charged with tampering with evidence and improper disposal of a body. Reports also tell us that in November of last year Sloan had died from a drug overdose at the same motel. In 2020 and 2021 Yeckley also overdosed. Luckily Sheriffs were able to bring them both back to life by administering Narcan. Tully could have been possibly been saved too had they called the police.
