Florida Man Posed As Doctor On Dating App And Schemed Women Out Of $1.3M

Brian Wedgeworth has plead guilty to defrauding more than 30 women out of $1.3 Million by pretending to be a doctor on a dating app. Wedgeworth who formerly lived in Tallahassee used 10 different aliases as part of the plan to scheme these women. Wedgeworth made promises to the ladies and conned them into sending him jewelry, money watches and more. He pleaded guilty to 25 counts including mail fraud, wire fraud aggravated identity theft and money laundering.
Wedgeworth faces up to 30 years in Prison and is scheduled to be sentenced August 8th.
