Dead Body And 28 Cats Found In Bradenton Home
Reports tells that the Manatee County Animal Welfare office rescued 28 cats from unsafe conditions in a Bradenton home. Manatee Sheriffs believes the owner died in the house and had been hoarding cats. The air quality of the house was tested by the Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue Hazmat team and it was almost seven times beyond the safe limit. The officers also had to wear protective gear to go inside of the home. Even though 28 cats were taken from the home, they believe there are also 20 more cats hiding in the ceiling and walls. The cats appeared to be ranging from kittens to 10 years old. They have been taken to the Bishop Animal Shelter for medical care and to get them ready for adoption. The shelter is over capacity so MCAW are waiving adoption fees for cats through July 31st.
