Florida Man Died Minutes After Refusing To Spit In Front Of The Cops
According to The Miami Herald, A Florida man died minutes after refusing to spit in front of the cops. This incident happened In Deland which is about 2 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg. On August 21st, Cornell McKinney and others were being detained in what cops thought was a drug house. While McKinney was being questioned, he was very unresponsive. So, what was he hiding in his mouth, and why did he refuse to spit? Im pretty sure you can guess what it was. Unfortunately his actions led to his demise.
Florida Man Dies After Hiding Drugs In His Mouth
On August 21st, deputies arrived to a suspected drug house to execute a search warrant. When they arrived at the home, they began questioning multiple people who were inside. One of the people who were not responsive was McKinney. Due to him not speaking, cops knew right then and there that he was trying to hide and swallow drugs. Mckinney was asked to open his mouth several times, but he refused. Paramedics were called into the house while McKinney declined to spit out the drugs. Minutes later he fell unconscious.
While trying to save McKinney’s life, fire personnel removed three plastic bags from his mouth and throat. Two of the bags contained Fentanyl/ heroin and crack cocaine. There are so many incidents where people hide drugs in their mouth or even go far as swallowing them to avoid getting arrested. I would much rather be locked up in prison over dying any day. Praying for the mans family and all victims affected.
