Reader’s Digest recently released maps showing what different regions of the country call everyday items. For example, do you call those flying bugs that light up a “firefly” or “lightning bug”? If you are going to sell some stuff outside your house, are you having a garage sale, a yard sale, a rummage sale or a tag sale?
What do you call athletic shoes? I think you’ll be surprised by what the majority of people call them. What about a carbonated beverage? Do you call it a pop, soda or coke?
