Pediatricians: Spanking Is Ineffective And Harmful To Children
New information for parents! The American Academy of Pediatrics are warning against the harmful effects of corporal punishment in the home.
The group includes 67,000 doctors advises parents against the use of spanking, and said to avoid using nonphysical punishment that is humiliating, scary or threatening.
Parents should not spank their children at all! The group said spanking is associated with increased aggression and children will be more defiant in the future. Spanking is similar to those of children who experience physical abuse and should not be done in the household.
