A Gremlins Animated Series is Coming
Variety is reporting that a Gremlins animated series is coming to Warner Bros. upcoming streaming service, Warner OTT.
The cult classic, starting with the first 1984 film, grossed $153 million and featured Peter Gabriel on the film’s soundtrack. Bands like Slayer and Faith No More contributed music to franchise’s sequel in 1990.
The aminated series, according to Variety, will “follow Mr. Wing, the films’ Chinese grandfather, as a young man going on adventures with a friendly mogwai Gizmo.”
No word on a release date for the animated series. Streaming service Warner OTT will launch late this year.
