Emilia Clarke Reveals She Underwent Two Life-Saving Brain Surgeries
BREAKING NEWS! Emilia Clarke has revealed that she’s had two brain surgeries in the last eight years. The Game of Thrones star opened up about her personal life in the ‘New Yorker’ saying her issues started in 2011.
She was at the gym, working out with her trainer in the plank position when suddenly she had severe pain all around her head. She tried to work through the pain but couldn’t and crawled to the locker room in extreme pain.
“The diagnosis was quick and ominous: a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening type of stroke, caused by bleeding into the space surrounding the brain. I’d had an aneurysm, an arterial rupture. As I later learned, about a third of SAH patients die immediately or soon thereafter.”
She had a three-hour surgery and spent several days in the hospital afterwards recovering but just two years later she had a second aneurysm and needed another surgery. The original surgery failed and she was in a tremendous amount of pain so they had to did another surgery and she was left in the hospital for a month.
