This Celebrity Doctor Believes Keto Is Actually Pretty Unhealthy
The Keto diet has been all the rave for the past few years but celebrity doctor, Dr. Andrew Weil is reminding dieters that balance is key.
What seems like a “passing obsession” to Dr. Weil is actually “starvation that is abnormal for the body.”
“I don’t think the keto fad will last and I don’t think it’s a healthy way to eat for a length of time,” says Dr. Weil.
Dr. Weil says that not all carbohydrates are bad, whole carbs contain glucose that takes the body longer to break down versus refined carbs that instantly turn into glucose and causes you to gain weight.
