Parents Want Polk Co. School District To Cancel Classes On Friday – The Day After Halloween
The Polk County School District is being asked to cancel school this Friday so kids can stay out late and have fun for Halloween! After posting an online petition to get this approved the county has finally responded.
The petition brings up a good point… Students have a day off after other holidays (like Thanksgiving and Christmas) so why not make an exception for Halloween? By Tuesday morning they had 17,000 signatures.
The school responded by explaining that their school year has already been planned out long before the online petition was posted. They will still have classes this Friday.
