Tampa Police Warn Of Fake ‘Hot Air Balloon Festival’ Event At ZooTampa
ZooTampa at Lowry Park is warning of a Facebook Scam! The zoo is not holding and not selling tickets to a “hot air balloon festival” for this weekend.
Don’t believe any of these scams online because the event and its promotion are fake and you can’t purchase tickets.
“We had contact with the hot air balloon community. They had never heard of this event. Upon further research, this is something they’ve been doing throughout the country…these fake hot air balloon events,” said Sandra Torres, Sr. Director of Communications and External Affairs with ZooTampa.
