Trillions Of 10 Cicadas To Emerge In US After 17 Years Underground
I don’t know why but this is grossing us out… Trillions of cicadas are about to emerge from a 17-year-long hibernation! The bugs crawl out in May when it gets around 64 degrees after some warm rain hits the soil.
The colony hasn’t been around since 2004 but will soon appear in several states including Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
These bugs get super loud! Once they hit the ground, the insects will mate and the noise will hit around 100 decibels! They will then lay their eggs and die.
