ZooTampa Announces 12 Rays Dead At Stingray Bay
AWFUL! ZooTampa just announced in an online post that 12 rays have died at Stingray Bay. That is the area at the zoo where youre allowed to touch the stingrays. They’re currently testing the water and waiting for mechanical results but it’ll take several weeks to find out what happened to the animals. So far, early measurements seem normal. The Zoo has closed Stingray Bay.
“The animal care and veterinary teams are examining all of the mechanical equipment involved and testing the water, all of which indicate optimal water quality and conditions.”-ZooTampa
