Tampa’s Erriyon Knighton Advances In Olympic Men’s 200-Meter Finals
Tampa’s own Erriyon Knighton, the 17-year-old who attends Hillsborough High School is one step closer to achieving his Olympic dream! He finished 1st in the men’s 200-meter event and in the semi-finals as well.
He finished with a time of 20.55 the first time and 20.02 in the semi-finals which is simply amazing! They say he’s the next Usain Bolt and he lives right here in the Tampa Bay area! His next run is the finals airing Wednesday at 8:55 a.m.

Knighton ran a race in just 20.11 seconds which broke the under-18 world record! It was previously set by the famous Olympian Usain Bolt.
