Jail Offers Inmates 10 Free Ramen Noodles In Exchange For Getting COVID-19 Vaccinations
The Washington state jail is trying to find a way to encourage their inmates to get the COVID-19 vaccination and they’re using a popular food in order to get it done.
At the Benton County Jail they started a new campaign called “SOUPS FOR SHOTS” where they are offering inmates 10 free Ramen noodle soups to get their first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
The chief of corrections said the facility distributed 900 packets of Ramen noodles to 90 inmates in just the first three weeks.
Scott Souza said, “We’re doing everything we can do to incentivize vaccination, and we are getting outstanding response.”
