Two Tampa Women Burn Children With Hot Pot As Punishment
Two Tampa women were arrested after they intentionally burned two young children with a hot pot and then sent them to school.
An investigation was opened after an 10-year-old child showed up to school with welts, blisters and fresh burn marks all over their body. The child was then taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital and an investigator went to the home.
They later discovered another child in the home under the age of five with the same injuries.
24-year-old Chazay Durant intentionally burned the children with a hot pot while they were held down by 19-year-old Shyandria Scott during the incident. The officers said, “the circular lines on the bottom of the pot were imprinted on the skin.”
