Warren Sapp Is Dropping Science About the Bucs Defense
Never a man to mince words, Warren Sapp is dropping science about the Bucs defense. The biggest wonder is are they gonna listen? In a social media post, the Hall of Fame defender took viewers into an NFL mind and pointed out something obvious. There has been a lot of attention on Tom Brady but Sapp’s attention is on one of our other captains, Devin White. Sapp stated he would “take the C off of his chest.” which denotes team captain. Now before we start with excuses, as fans do, Warren Sapp is dropping science, about the Bucs.
Fans understand exhaustion like nobody’s business. Any of, who watch the Bucs know the power that comes from our monsters, in the middle. However there are two Todd Bowles quotes, from the post-game that are alarming. Coach Bowles was asked: “Was White loafing or was his tank empty?” His response was “a little bit of both.” On Friday, Coach Bowles added “I didn’t see some loafing, I saw a play where he loafed!” Huh? A little confusing, to say the least. With all of the attention on the offense, it seems the other side of the ball is in trouble. Instructor Sapp is pointing out the shortcomings of our captain here, as well.
With arguably our faster and hardest hitter, Antoine Winfield Jr. out with a concussion, these sidelines are unprotected. We all know tired. We definitely understand being gassed. What I don’t understand is the coach, who is a defensive mind, not being able to pull the beast out of our best. Is Coach Bowles too soft for this part of the job? Were the saucy words, of Bruce Arians a better motivator? We need a serious run, to get back atop the NFC South.
