Making the right choice on where you spend the next 4 years of your life is a big deal and picking a safe university should be at the top of the list.
Degree Choices released a study on the 27 most dangerous college campuses in the US which include violent crime across 14,000 colleges from 2019–2021. These violent crimes involve the use of force or threat of force against a person and include rape, murder, assault plus robbery. One Florida school landed number 21 on the top 27 most dangerous college campuses for 2023. It is none other than the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, with 87 violent crimes on campus between 2019 – 2021.

Public universities, which are funded by government monies, are usually less expensive than their private counterparts, primarily because they do not have to rely solely on tuition fees to stay solvent.
