4-Year-Old Missing Florida Girl Found Dead
Reports tell us that a 4-year-old missing Florida girl has been found dead. The young girl was reported missing after she wandered away from her family’s rental home in Port Charlotte. The Charlotte County Sheriffs office says she was found dead in a Canal along the waters edge.
Friday morning deputies were searching for 4-year-old Evelyn K. Greer by using bloodhounds and aviation assistance. The search began after Greers mother called 911. She called because she found their front door open. On the 911 call Greers mother is heard screaming that her daughter was missing. Evelyn was only wearing a diaper at the time of her disappearance.
Evelyn’s family was staying at the rental home in Port Charlotte after being displaced from their home by Hurricane Ian. The home that the family owned had a deadbolt lock on their front door, but the rental did not. According to Evelyns family, she did have autism.
Evelyns Grandmother has started a GoFundMe page to pay for her funeral expenses. To lose everything in Hurricane Ian and then a family member over the course of several months is extremely devastating.
