Tampa Dog Found In Arkansas Thanks To Microchip
Every pet owner will tell you how important it is to microchip your pets. This is a prime example of that. A Tampa dog made it out of its backyard in Florida and somehow ended up hundreds of miles away in Arkansas. Thankfully it turned into a happy ending when the owner was recently reunited with the pup, thanks to its microchip.
Louis Gonzalez’s husky, Stormy, was no where to be found after being let outside to use the bathroom. It’s not uncommon for huskies to jump over fences or dig there way out of a backyard. They are typically known to be very stubborn dogs who do whatever they want. Louis was devastated after he realized his 4-legged best friend was missing. He took off a whole day of work to look for her and posted on social media but had no luck. Days went by and eventually turned into weeks and Stormy was no where to be found.
Meanwhile, in Arkansas… An animal shelter had found the Tampa dog and scanned it for a microchip. This was the one thing that made the reunion possible. Louis told WFLA “I’m happy right now because I finally got to see my dog again after so much time that has passed by.” Right now, Stormy is resting and working on getting back to 100% health, but she is very happy to be home.
