Florida Man Ticketed For “Booty Patrol” Truck Resembled Border Patrol Vehicle
These Florida cops took didn’t think a joke was funny after arresting a man in his “Booty Patrol” truck. It seems like they made themselves the butt of the joke after their social media post! A police officer from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office is being made fun of on socials. It’s all because he ticketed a driver for “impersonating law enforcement” because of his “Booty Patrol” truck. His complaint was that it resembled a Border Patrol vehicle which is illegal.
Florida Man Ticketed For “Booty Patrol” Vehicle:
The deputy pulled over Gabriel Luviano, of Bradenton while he was driving his white Chevy Silverado pickup. During the traffic stop on Sunday he issued him a large $113 citation. According to the NYPost, the biggest problem were the added red and blue lights attached tot he vehicle. Luviano’s truck does look similar to a Border Partol vehicle but it’s quite obvious that it is all in fun and just a joke. The truck has a green diagonal stripe, an official-looking federal emblem making it easy to mistake for a US Border Patrol vehicle. The only thing that gives it away is the word “BOOTY PATROL” written in large letters reading “National Booty Behavior Protection” on the side of vehicle.
The sheriff’s office said Luviano was “impersonating law enforcement.” They even posted several images of the vehicle so everyone could be aware of the issue. That’s when the comments under the photo went awry. Many people are saying it’s ridiculous that he was pulled over and it was all an obvious joke. But the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t think so! They cited the man and issued him a ticket for the vehicle that resembled the Border Patrol trucks.
