Mystery Noise Is Back Taking Over South Tampa Late At Night
In South Tampa there’s been an unsolved mystery occurring that is leaving many residents baffled. This similar occurrence happened about the same time last year and it was upsetting a lot of people. Many are left wondering what’s that strange bass noise coming from keeping residences up at night?
What Is The Mystery Noise Taking Over South Tampa At Night?
Once again, thousands of people have been running to social media to complain about a deep bass sound. It can be heard and felt over the weekend. For a long time, there were no answers. The complaints start in Port Tampa to north Kennedy, all over Davis Islands to the opposite side of Westshore. All the residences complained about the same frustrating sound with no answers. Some residents speculated that it could be a passing party boat driving around the Bay. Others have blamed what they thought was a house party or even MacDill Airforce Base. Apparently, none of those guesses were correct. After some investigating from WFLA , they initially reported that it was a TECO Bayside Power Station but after a while the moving noise explanation still didn’t make sense.
There were multiple complaints to the Tampa Police department, MacDill Airforce Base and there seemed to only be one answer. Some brought up that it could be black drum fish for all the extra noise. After doing some research on black drum fish it seems they are big, noisy creatures, especially during mating season. If they are making a lot of noise it’s because of a low frequency that can travel into homes. This issue has been happening for years and has still been an unidentifiable sound that goes on for hours. It leaves many with sleepless nights hearing the loud bass throughout the night. So, maybe it is the fish, or TECO or could it be aliens? We may never know!
