Here’s Where Tampa Ranks Among 50 Rudest Cities In America
There’s plenty of Florida cities that have horrible reputations for rudeness in all of the United States. In a new survey by BusinessInsider, they breakdown the top rudest states in the U.S. and it includes Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami. They asked over 2,000 Americans to rank the top five rudest American cities out of the country’s 50 largest cities.
Not shocking, New York took the #1 spot as the rudest city in the nation. It was rated rude by 34.3% of people surveyed which was twice as much as the next highest city on the list! Just after that, Los Angeles came in taking the #2 spot on the list. However, there were several Florida cities that were higher on the list than we expected. Miami was the highest Florida city and Jacksonville followed close behind.

First and foremost, Florida is home to stunning beaches. There’s over 1,350 miles of coastline with pristine white sand, turquoise water, and extremely hot weather. One of the most famous places is Miami Beach to the very glamorous South Beach each one is amazing in it’s own way. The Gulf Coast beaches like Clearwater and Siesta Key are just as beautiful. It doesn’t matter what you’re looking for, there is a perfect beach for everyone. Visitors can enjoy different water activities like snorkeling, jet skiing, or just tanning in the hot sun.

The rudest city in America is New York City. Some people may not see this as surprising, considering NYC has a reputation for constant yelling and arguing. Other big cities on the list include Boston, Chicago, and Washington D.C.
What about Florida? The Florida cities to make the list were: Miami at #15, Jacksonville at #17, Tampa at #20, and Orlando at #40.
