Sadly, you read the headline right. ” Florida Teen Killed His Sister Over A Christmas Gift Argument .” This horrific incident happened in Largo which is about 30 minutes form where I live in St. Petersburg. Holidays are suppose to be a time we cherish with family, this was a very selfish act and you will find out more below.

Florida Teen Was Upset That His Brother Was Getting More Gifts Than Him

The two brothers who were a year apart in age went Christmas shopping with their sister and mother. As they were shopping, that’s when the fight broke out. They were arguing over who was getting what and who wasn’t getting what.

The argument continued as the family made their way from the store back to their grandmothers house in Largo. Both of the brothers were both armed with guns. When they got back to their grandmothers house, the 14-year-old brother took his gun out and told his brother he was going to shoot him in the head.

The older brother said he didn’t want to fight and asked his younger brother to get out of the house. Their older sister who was there tried to turn the situation around. The sister said quote ” You all need to leave that stuff alone … . It’s Christmas”

The 14-year-old then shot his sister while she was holding her baby. The sister fell to the ground and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her baby was not injured.  The older brother then shot the younger brother in the stomach. The 14-year-old was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

The 15-year-old then tossed the gun and ran. He was later taken into custody.
