Check Out Tampa’s Newest Hot Chicken Restaurant ‘HCK Hot Chicken’
Tampa Bay has seen a lot of chicken restaurants pop-up lately and we’re not complaining. These restaurants don’t just offer delicious hot chicken sandwiches. Many of them are featuring a new traditional Nashville chicken sandwich. This type of sandwich is dipped in a Nashville hot sauce and topped with pickles and coleslaw on a soft bun. In general, the Tampa Bay area hasn’t seen the Nashville sandwich offered in many places. It’s refreshing to see its popularity grow around the nation and now here locally. Tampa now offers some delicious hot chicken restaurants including HCK Hot Chicken.
What Is Tampa’s Newest Hot Chicken Restaurant?
The newest fast casual restaurant chain in Tampa is called HCK Hot Chicken. It stands for Hot Chicken Kitchen and it’s first location just opened up at 3343 S Westshore Blvd. in the corner of the plaza. Immediately, when you walk into the restaurant, you’re engulfed in the delicious smell of fried chicken. Their digital menus on the wall show several options including a Nashville style chicken sandwich, tenders and chicken wings. Their sides include mac and cheese, krinkle kut fries, friend pickles and homestyle slaw. You can pick how hot you want the spice on your chicken, offering many different hot sauces and delicious dipping sauces. Our favorite was their ‘Good Sauce’ and creamy cheese sauce you can order on the side.
How Did Their Hot Chicken Taste?
Meredith from Orlando and The Freakshow has gone to this restaurant many times and loves it. She said their Nashville chicken sandwich was huge, and flavorful. Meredith went back a second time and ordered chicken tenders and fries with their Good Sauce and cheese sauce for dipping. Next time she goes to HCK she wants to try their chicken and waffles and chicken wings bone-in. She also mentioned that the mac and cheese was ridiculously creamy and, in her opinion, a must try. She did her own review of their food on her TikTok which you can see by scrolling below.
