If I told you a Florida rapper was running for Congress, would you be able to guess who it was?  Unfortunately, you automatically have to dismiss Kodak Black because of all his legal troubles. But I have to admit, that would be pretty entertaining. How about Rick Ross? He's shown how great of a boss he can be with Maybach Music and Wingstops, but I'm not sure he can represent Florida with all of the crimes he claims to have been associated with. To be honest, I think most rappers take themselves out of the equation for that same reason. So what Florida rapper is running for Congress?

Who is Luther Campbell?

The rapper turned possible Congressman is Luther Campbell!... Ok maybe that name isn't equally as recognized as his stage name, but I'm sure if I said Uncle Luke you know exactly who I am talking about. Not only is the former member of the notorious 2 Live Crew running for Congress, but he will be filming his challenge to Washington and releasing a documentary about it. If his past documentaries are any indication of what to expect from this, we are in for a good one.

Not only does Uncle Luke think he has a great chance, he thinks he can win! This won't be the first time Luke has run for office either. He ran for Miami-Dade County Mayor back in 2011. In that election, Luke would only receive just under 21,000 votes ultimately resulting in a 4th-place finish. Campbell hopes to tap into his "star power" this time around to get his desired result. I'm not sure if the Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told was a part of that star power, but it's helping Campbell get his name out there.

Do you think Uncle Luke has a shot at winning?
