This Can’t Be True: Disney Is Banning Crocs
Let me tell you, that one of the best feelings in the world is going to Disney World and forgetting about the fact that you’re an actual adult. But if you didn’t know, recently, there have been a lot of accidents with the usage of Crocs, specifically at Walt Disney World. And it looks like Disney is banning the use of Crocs on their escalators. It’s a story told time and time again. Doesn’t matter how many people properly abide by the rules, there is always one person who has to ruin it for everybody, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
Why is Disney Banning Crocs?
Disney World is attempting to ban their parkgoers from wearing Crocs while using the escalators at the park as many have experienced getting their Crocs stuck. This is alarming and stirring up emotions as Crocs have become a fashion trend and many use them for their ease of use as well as comfortability. You mean to tell me I can’t be comfortable because someone else was too clumsy?!
What I think is weird though is that Disney literally sells their own line of Crocs. Think about it: we can buy them at the park(s) but we can’t wear them at the park(s)? To make things even weirder, I’ve done some research and I’ve found that people have reported their sneakers AND sandals getting caught in the escalators as well. There seems to be no mention of this in their website attire policy and no mention of this in their prohibited items policy.
If this has been a huge reoccurring problem, it might be time for Disney to make sure that their escalators are safe for ALL footwear. I hope they are able to get it together before someones happiest day on earth turns into a nightmare.
Honestly, are Crocs really the problem?
