Local Florida Wineries For You To Enjoy International Wine Day
I never realized every single day has a national holiday attached to it. Some of them are pretty obscure in my opinion, but I can see myself acknowledging and enjoying. Like the one we are supposed to be celebrating today. If you didn’t know, May 25th is International Wine Day. So I did some more digging. Not for National holidays though, there are just too many so you’ll have to check those out on your own time. However, I did put together a list of local Florida wineries for International Wine Day.
The Florida Winery – 12945 Village Blvd, Madeira Beach, FL 33708
The Florida Winery is an award-winning Florida gem everyone needs to check out. The best part though, is the fact it’s just a few steps away from the historic John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk in Madeira Beach.
So while you’re picking from the 20 varieties of delectable wines that are made in-house, you can also enjoy the waterfront views. You can also indulge in some cigars with their walk-in humidor, containing premium hand-rolled cigars from around the world.
Florida Orange Groves Winery – 1500 Pasadena Ave, South, St. Petersburg
Fun fact, the Florida Orange Groves Winery is Pinellas County’s first and only tropical, berry and citrus winery. Not only can you try 43 different varieties of premium tropical fruit wines, they all are gluten free. Make sure you check out their Key Lime, Hurricane White Sangria, and Mango Mamma though. Apparently they have won so many awards, they have stopped counting.
Tarpon Springs Castle Winery – 320 E Tarpon Ave, Tarpon Springs
If you like European wine, you’ll love Tarpon Springs Castle Winery. Plus, it’s the only European winery east of the Mississippi river. Their recipes may have began in Sant’Arsenio, Italy, but now you can find it in the heart of the historical district in Tarpon Springs. Don’t forget to get some pics of their Italian style walled-in courtyard with the wrought-iron gazebo. It may be IG worthy.
Aspirations Winery – 22041 US HWY 19 N, Clearwater
They don’t just have wine either, they also have beer, cider, spiked seltzers, and a rotating selection of local craft beers on tap, along with specialty sangrias. Let’s get back to the wine though. They have a collection of over 35 low-sulfite wines, ranging from dry reds and whites to fruit-infused varieties. If you need more street credit, they’ve also been Ranked the #1 winery spot in Florida by Tripadvisor (2022 and 2023).
Murielle Winery – 13131 56th Ct N #305, Clearwater
Murielle Winery is a family-owned and operated winery that has been in the Clearwater since 1999. All wines are handcrafter in small batches. That way you taste their exceptional quality. The distinct recipes and production process have guaranteed a standout taste experience, which has also won awards.
