New Club Opening In Saint Petersburg

Many people in the Saint Petersburg area were devastated when they heard the news that Ringside Cafe had closed permanently. I know the place has moved around for the last couple of years, but we are talking about a bar and music venue that was open in St. Pete for over 35 years. People are going to care. But there’s one thing people care more about. What’s going to open there next?

In recent years, the location has seen a variety of establishments, including Marquee DTSP, Fuego Lounge, La Casa Tropical, G St. Pete, and Diner 24 DTSP. Now, the area is poised to experience a new chapter in its rich history of dining and entertainment. Look out, everyone! There’s a new club opening in Saint Petersburg.

Opulence Nightclub

Right now, the 6,900-square-foot venue is undergoing renovations, but come August (according to the plan) Opulence Nightclub is gearing up to open its doors. Their updates aim to transform the space into a destination for those seeking a vibrant atmosphere, top-notch entertainment, and a diverse drink selection. According to a statement on the club’s social media, Opulence Nightclub promises an “electrifying atmosphere” that sets it apart from other establishments in the area.

Located at 350 First Ave. N, across from Williams Park, the club will bring a fresh blend of Afrobeats, house, and R&B music to downtown Saint Petersburg. According to the general manager, Shawn Lopez, Opulence will start with limited business hours on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The hours of operation will change with time and demand. The nightclub is also situated next to a gentlemen’s club under the same ownership, adding to the eclectic nightlife offerings. This prime location offers a unique mix of entertainment options, catering to a variety of tastes in the heart of the city.

Lopez says “The plan is to bring culture to the city, but still keep everything Saint Pete.”

As anticipation builds for the club’s grand opening, locals and visitors alike are looking forward to experiencing the unique blend of music and atmosphere that Opulence promises to deliver.
