Pinellas Pastor Arrested For Theft Ring Selling $1.4 Million Of Stolen Goods
A pastor from St. Petersburg, Florida was arrested for operating a multimillion-dollar theft ring using people he met from a halfway house! Robert Dell, who worked as a pastor at The Rock Church and operator of a halfway house for people recovering from drug addiction. He would have these four people intentionally steal Milwaukee, DeWalt from Home Depot stores all over the state. The thieves would travel multiple counties including Citrus, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota Counties. After the stealing spree, they would go sell the stolen items on eBay through a store called ‘Anointed Liquidator’.
How The Pastor Started The Theft Ring:
Police arrested Pastor Dell and four other people accused of stealing more than $1.4 million worth of goods! According to the Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement, they said two of those individuals would on average, hit up 2 stores five to six times a day! After they were done collecting everything, they would drop off all the stolen products at Dell’s house to sell. After gathering everything, they would then sell the products on eBay in the next coming weeks. The worst part about this situation is he would try and manipulate people who were staying at the halfway house and even try to threaten people into taking part of the theft ring. The Home Depot thinks the ring has been happening for over 10 years, resulting in a $5 million loss.
Furthermore, Pastor Robert Dell wasn’t the only person arrested in his family because many were also arrested. Authorities also arrested Jaclyn Dell (Dell’s wife) and Karen Dell (his mother) who would help collect, package and ship all the stolen goods as well as taking payment. Dell faces a ton of felony charges including racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering and dealing in stolen property.
