In a newly released video, a former Federal prosecutor from Tampa allegedly stabs a man on the Howard Frankland Bridge. This happened after there was a three-car pileup Tuesday, which lead up to the road rage event. In the video, drivers looked-on in horror watching the man stab an innocent victim several times.
How The Former Tampa Prosecutor Stabs The Victim:
In the video, you can see Patrick Scruggs outside of a vehicle as he holds a pocket knife trying to stab a someone inside their car. His arm jabs inside the vehicle several times while the road rage incident occurred. One witness who took pictures said you could see the blood all over the victims arms and hands. According to Fox13, Tara Iglinski said, “I was trying to figure out what had caused that.”
Scruggs was so enraged during this incident that he bashed through the window to grab the victim. That’s when he grabbed his pocket knife and stabbed a man multiple times. Before this happened the man had passed out while behind the wheel in the middle of heavy traffic on the Howard Frankland Bridge. Two Good Samaritans pulled over and tried to wake the man which startled him. That’s when the man drove forward, hitting the Good Samaritan’s car, and eventually drove right into Scruggs’ way creating a three-car pileup on the bridge.
After Scruggs’ car was hit he stopped his vehicle and took out his pocket knife in front of everyone watching. Scruggs had had previously been a Federal prosecutor for over ten years in the Tampa Bay area. He decided to open his own private practice, and had many high profile cases including, working with Adam Johnson, who stole the lectern from Nancy Pelosi’s office. At the end of the video, you see Scruggs used the knife to scare away any other Good Samaritans who wanted to help the stabbing victim.
