Missing Man Found Dead In Florida River
Sadly, you read the headline right, “Missing Florida Man Found Dead In Florida River.” NBC2 tells us the Florida boater who went missing on Sunday was found dead in the Caloosahatchee river. The Caloosahatchee river is almost 2 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg.
Missing Man Found Dead
Chris Giangeruso was reported missing on Sunday, November 26th after falling off of his boat near the Alva boat ramp. He was fishing with a friend when this happened. His friend returned back to the dock but Giangeruso did not.
Giangeruso’s body was found Tuesday afternoon in Alva. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation said the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office and the Alva Fire Department responded to the scene.
Timing
I find it strange that Giangeruso’s friend reported him 48 hours after he fell in the water and went missing. He could have been trying to find him himself, but I think authorities should have been contacted immediately. Maybe the outcome would have been different. Thoughts on this?
