Here is a true crime story that many Florida residents are obsessed with! No this is not a crime that happened in Florida but Missouri. I first heard about Gypsy Rose on a St. Petersburg discussion page on Facebook and have been interested in the case ever since.

Murder Mystery podcast are becoming popular! When I first heard about Gypsy Rose I wanted to hear about why her and her boyfriend did what they did. Back in June 0f 2019, her and a man she met online planned to kill her mother. Not only did they plan the murder but hey actually followed through with it.
Why would they do something like this? Apparently she had been torturing Gypsy since she was a child. She was one of those parents who pretended like there was something wrong with Gypsy.
She would lie to Doctors and everyone she would meet and convince them that Gypsy had cancer, muscular dystrophy etc. Gypsy had a feeding tube, used a wheel chair and had her hair shaved for no reason. She would also lie to people and say that Gypsy was younger than she actually was.
When Gypsy became older she started getting interested in boys. Her mother did not like any of them and would punish Gypsy for hanging out with them. Punishments would be things like tying her to the bed. Also putting bells on the doors so she could not escape.
Gypsy Meets GodeJohn
In 2015 Gypsy meets her boyfriend GodeJohn in person for the first time. They planned to kill her mother so that Gypsy could escape and be free and that's what they did. Gypsy however would not be free she was took a plea and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2016. Godjohn received life.

Here is the biggest unsolved crime in Florida! I have never heard of this case but it gives me chills and I feel terribly for the family. This crime happened in Tallahassee which is about 4 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg.
What are the biggest unsolved crimes in history?
Before we talk about the biggest unsolved crime in Florida, lets talk about some of the biggest ones in history. According to the Time magazine website, one of them is the Jack the ripper murders. In 1888 5 prostitutes were killed in London and police never found who did it. The killer wrote notes taunting law enforcement and called himself "Jack The Ripper."
Another big unsolved crime was the "Zodiac Killings." Starting in 1968 a man who went by the name "Zodiac" killed 5 or more people in San Francisco. The zodiac killer was never found but spent time taunting the police and news outlets. He sent coded letters to newspapers. He did this by using crosses within a circle as his symbol.
The murders of these innocent people are already bad enough but the fact that they never found out who did it is sickening.
