Missing 8-Year-Old Found Dead In A Florida Resident’s Pool
Horrific headline right? “Missing 8-year-old found dead in a Florida resident’s pool.” This unfortunate incident happened down in Fort Lauderdale which is about 4 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg. The homeowner who called 911 stressed to police that he did not know who the young boy was. He also told them that there were no kids who lived in the home. So how did the young boy end up there? Police are currently investigating.
8-Year-Old Florida Boy Found Dead At The Bottom Of A Pool
The 8-year-old boy has been identified as Ryan Amichette. Amichette’s older brother told reporters that the family had been looking for Ryan all over Fort Lauderdale and could not find him. They even went up to many police officers asking if they had seen a little boy. One of the police officers that they asked, told them that they had just found a little boy in a pool.
Amichette’s older brother told police that him and Ryan had just moved from the Bahamas to be with their mother two years ago. The babysitter was supposed to pick Ryan up from school on Monday but when she saw him walking up the street she turned around. For some reason when the babysitter saw him walking down the street she did not try to stop him.
The pool was located blocks away from where Amichette’s and his family lived. His older brother says he doesn’t know who the owner of the home is or how his brother got in his yard. He’s also unsure if his little brother knew how to swim. Fort Lauderdale police say they’re investigating this as an accident and are still trying to determine how the boy got into the backyard.
Praying for everyone involved but it just seems like something is not adding up. May that sweet boy rest in peace. Comments or concerns? email me babs@wild941.com
