The Summer Rum And Seafood Festival Is Coming To Tampa Soon

If you were to ask people to name two things that remind them of summer, you would get a lot of different answers. Some would say beer and bikinis. Others might say the beach and tanning. I would probably say Rum and seafood, and if you think like me I have the perfect event for you. The Summer Rum and Seafood Festival is coming to Tampa soon, and I have all the details if you want to go.

This festival has everything you need. Live music, fresh seafood, fun, and of course rum. They actually have more than rum. They have an entire cocktail bar. There will also be a bunch of distilleries sampling their alcohol and drinks throughout the day. Just make sure you drink a bunch of water. Need some content? The festival has a load of selfie stations and pirate-themed decorations for everyone to flex on the gram.

Now let’s get to the important part. The FOOD! At least it is the most important part for me. There will be up to 12 Seafood Chefs who will be cooking up an assortment of great flavors to choose from including crab legs, fish tacos, lobster rolls, conch fritters, grouper, and more! You can also grab a bite from local restaurants and food trucks that are in attendance.

Tickets can be bought a couple of ways. If you decide to by them at the door, that will cost you $15. If you want to plan ahead, buy them online with no fees while early bird supplies last. If you would like a Rum Bucket upgrade w/ Fast Pass lines to the bars, that will cost you $35. Which is a deal! $75 Gold VIP Upgrade includes private reserved seating in front of the stage, rum buckets, and more to be announced soon! All upgrades include entry. The fourth of July is right around the corner and we’re ready for all the hot dogs, fruit salad and fun in the sun. If you’re looking for ways to spice up your July 4th celebration, we created a list of fourth of July events happening around Tampa to help you plan your day.

There are endless firework displays happening around Tampa Bay, but how do you celebrate if you’re not into big crowds or loud bangs from fireworks? Many firework shows have pre-party festivities but we narrowed down our list to only include pre-firework events. Maybe you already have your spot planned out but don’t know how to kill time before the big show, this list will be perfect for you.   • Hot Dog Eating Contest

    I can’t think of anything more American than a hot dog eating contest. Armature Works in Tampa is hosting a limited competition starting at 6:30 p.m.. Spots are first come first serve, so if you want to show off your glizzy eating skills, be sure to get there early! The winner will take home the championship title which includes a $500 gift card, the championship belt, as well as bragging rights. Second and third place winners will each take home $100 Gift Cards and all competitors receive a branded T-shirt.

  • July 4th Boat Parade

    It’s not like a championship boat parade but it’s the next best thing! The parade route will be similar to our holiday light boat parade but will include a Water Ski Show to kick off the celebration and a blessing station. Boats will be decorated in red, white and blue and compete for the most patriotic boat!

    Water Ski Show – 6 PM (lasts 45 minutes)
    Boat Parade Arrival at Sparkman Wharf – 7:30 PM
    Blessing of the Fleet will occur when boats cross finish line at Sparkman Wharf

  • Catch the Spirit & Celebrate America July 4th Festival

    Get ready for an unforgettable day filled with fantastic food, exciting activities, engaging contests and live entertainment, culminating in a breathtaking patriotic drone show after sunset. Fun events include kids’ zone, pet parade, beer tents, food & craft vendors, antique car show & more.
    Admission is free; Parking is $10/car.

  • Tarpon Springs Annual Fourth of July Picnic

    Happening at Craig Park, (100 Library Ln, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689) from 10a-1p. Enjoy food, activities, games, music, water slides and food.

  • Red White and Bluey 4th of July Skate at Skate World Tampa

    Bluey is joining Skate World for a special 4th of July celebration skate! There will be games, a special (indoor safe) 4th of July celebration, and special meet and greets with Bluey! Admission is $11 and skate rentals are $5.

  • Lutz Fourth of July Celebration and Parade

    Kick of your July 4th morning with a one-mile fun run followed by a Flag Ceremony with Boy Scout Troop 12 and Civil Air Patrol. The parade begins at 10:00 with a cake auction fundraiser at the Lutz Civic Center just after the parade ends.  (101 W. Lutz Lake Fern Rd., Lutz)
