2 Arrested, Helping Sell Fentanyl For 18-Time Convicted Boyfriend From Jail
Two women were arrested after investigators found out they were helping a Hillsborough County inmate sell fentanyl. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office got a tip that Leundro Childs, 40, who is currently serving time at Falkenburg Road Jail, was using his girlfriend to help sell fentanyl to multiple people. He would set up the connections and the two women would allegedly pick up the product and transfer it for him.
2 Women Arrested For Helping Boyfriend Sell Fentanyl:
According to FoxNews13, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office opioid overdose detectives went undercover to figure out what was going on inside the jail. Turns out, Childs’ girlfriend, 30-year-old Tanisha Gort, and her friend, 25-year-old Alazae Pritchett, both tried to sell fentanyl to the undercover cops. Both women were arrested after they were caught up in the middle of this scandal. Gort and Pritchett are being charged with trafficking 28 grams or more of fentanyl. But it doesn’t end there.
After police got search warrants for Gort’s home and storage unit they even more fentanyl. Once they entered the unit, they found more than 1.5 kilograms of fentanyl and two semi-automatic rifles. It’s being reported by the Hillsborough County Police Department, “Childs is also now facing an additional charge of conspiracy to traffic illegal drugs. He is an 18-time convicted felon and was already serving time on previous drug charges.”
These two women got caught red handed and it seems they’ll be going to jail for a while. The state of Florida takes fentanyl very seriously so it’s doubtful that they’ll got after working with a convicted felon. And the fact that it was her boyfriend makes things even worse. She knew he was an 18-time convicted felon and helping him sell fentanyl out of the jail, not thinking she would get in trouble is insane.
