Florida Man Gets Arrested For Quitting Job
I am not a psychic, but I bet I can tell you something you have thought about before. I’m not just talking about you either. I’m talking about EVERYONE. Every person here has thought about quitting their job. The only problem is none of us have the guts to actually do it. Everyone, except for one man in Orlando. He quit his job in such an epic way, it got him arrested.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call from the company’s owner complaining about an employee. Police don’t typically take calls like this, but this call was from a company that transports inmates around the US. The call led to Joshua Pinquet being arrested shortly after. This 21-year-old was hired to transport 4 inmates to North Carolina. However, Pinquet had a change of heart in the middle of work that led him to call the owner and quit in the middle of his shift. The owner pleaded for Pinquet to complete transport, but he refused.
Deputies were dispatched to find the van. When they did, they detained Pinquet and another employee who was texting the owner about everything that transpired. The 4 inmates were still secured in the van. Pinquet faces charges of larceny and five counts of kidnapping with no bond set.
Why was he arrested? Well, law enforcement says he didn’t just stop and wait for someone to relieve him. The detectives conducted interviews and learned Pinquet was supposed to stop at a location in Hickory with the inmates but had refused to stop and continued traveling Interstate 40 into Iredell County.
What’s the wildest way you have seen someone quit their job?
