Downtown Tampa continues to rise, and Water St. has really set the tone for what all of Downtown Tampa will look like in a few years. New luxury hotels, restaurants & lounges have been bringing a lot of attention to the area & igniting a new vibe in the city. In case you missed it, a highly-anticipated new venue, Alter Ego, opened up on Water Street.
The latest venue to open on the popular Water St. is Alter Ego. The new addition to the street is helmed by the same renowned group, Proper House. They are responsible for the restaurant, Rooster & The Till out in Tampa’s Seminole Heights. This new spot, Alter Ego, is a combination of things. A modern Italian restaurant & lounge that also provides entertainment.
Since its opening on April 19th, Alter Ego has received high praise from socialites across Tampa Bay. It’s a sexy new venue with the vibes to match. A good friend of mine, fellow DJ & Tampa local DJ Casper is the music director there & has set up quite the lineup to make sure Alter Ego’s soundtrack is top-notch with great DJs such as Rich Medina, DJ Ku, & DJ Flaco setting a cool vibe. You can check out their weekly lineup here.
Alter Ego has the potential to be Tampa’s new hot spot, and with only a couple weeks under their belt, and the response from patrons on social media and word of mouth. I’m sure by the summer it will be, so do yourself a favor & check out the new spot that has been building quite the buzz around Downtown Tampa.
