Florida Woman Wins Big On $5 Scratch Off From Gas Station
Congrats! Florida has a new $1 million lottery winner. Racquel Maxey from Kissimmee turned her $5 into $1 million by playing the Gold Rush Doubler scratch off game. The Florida Lottery confirmed her win earlier this week. Even though we’ve told you that Publix might be the luckiest place to buy your lotto ticket, Maxey bought hers at a 7-Eleven in Kissimmee.
Maxey decided to go with the lump sum payment of $685,000. We think this is the smart move as you never know what could happen tomorrow! We’d rather take the money and run than get a weekly payment. The 7-Eleven store will also benefit from this win. They will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling her the winning ticket.
There’s still plenty of money left to be won. According to the Florida Lottery’s website, there are 20 $1 million prizes remaining. You can also download the Florida Lottery app. It tells you how many top prizes have been won and what’s left!

Florida Lottery Scratch Off Tickets You Might Want To Avoid
We’ve always envisioned winning the lottery and dreamed about how we would spend the lump sum. We want to make sure you purchase the right lottery ticket so you have a bigger chance to win! You might wonder why you haven’t been winning on your favorite scratch off lottery ticket lately and we now know why. The Florida Lottery keeps track all of the winners and tickets on their website. Shockingly, of the 8–5 million dollar range winning tickets, 7 of them were already gone. That being said, we want to make sure you pick a ticket that has better odds to win.
Most scratch off tickets are usually impulse buys, depending how they look or where they’re placed but it’s smarter to make it a financial decision. We’re not telling you which ticket to pick just giving you information about which tickets are still available to win and how much. Also, just because a ticket only has one big winner left doesn’t mean you won’t win.
A good example of this is the $50 – 500X! With this ticket there’s two $25 million dollar grand prize tickets and one has been claimed by a person from Bonita Springs, Florida. That means there’s one more out there! So with the help of the Florida Lottery website, we can go through most scratch off tickets, what’s still left to win and what’s already gone.
