Florida prostitute will not go to prison after killing his client during sex. Crazy right? This incident happened in Kissimmee which is about 2 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg. Prosecutors have concluded that charging him for manslaughter was not suitable to be pursued.
What Happened?
(Photo by Larry W. Smith/Getty Images)Bryant Demelo was accused of beating Todd Reade to death during a drug-fueled bondage session. It took place in a garage that was filled with adult toys. The victim was found “bound and gagged” wearing a black leather mask and other fetish attire.
Demelo told police that he acted in self defense. He says the he was trying to stop Reade from bitting down on his "manhood." Reade apparently would not relax his jaw. Reade was found dead in a bondage harness, mask, leather collar and wrist restraints. Blood was dripping everywhere on the carpet.
Demelo who knew Reade was unconscious left without calling the cops. Cops searched Reade's iPhone and it showed that Demelo agreed to “sexual favors in return for money.” According to the coroners report, Rede died by strangulation with “blunt force trauma to the head.”
Demelo was arrested for manslaughter but that charge has been dropped. When he was arrested he had a baggie of meth on him. So, he has a narcotics charge that is still active.
Do you think the charge should have been dropped?
This whole case is weird but prosecutors are experienced in this field and dropping the charges may have been the right call. Maybe there was a lack of evidence.
When your involved in these types of sexual encounters it is always important that you have a safe word. Mine use to be cow when I lived in Fort Myers with my ex. Feel free to email me your thoughts on this situation babs@wild941.com.
